In order to create a lasting Pinterest impression, one should always stay consistent.
You may have noticed already, that, after a while, you start to see the same old pins showing up in your stream.
As you may already know, a good pinner is constantly curating content that is helpful and relevant to their followers, but sometimes the pickings are slim.
One thing that experts tell us to do are to repin images that we’ve already pinned down before. Not right away of course, but after a while you can start the process all over again. It’s one of the many ways you can be more effective on social.
It's ok to repin images you have already pinned before!Click To TweetBut I want to share something very simple that will bring new life to your Pinterest marketing and still drive traffic.
The Image
Once this blog post is done I will create an image for it. You will see it when you click the Pinterest share button. But what happens in two weeks when people have already seen that image and pinned it? You have to first understand the mindset of the Pinner. Why and how people pin on Pinterest is a very interesting thing to observe.
In this article I just linked to, there is one in four people that know exactly what they want on Pinterest. So pinners are more inclined to repin than to click when they’re in that “mode” on the network.
That is why it is so important to build a great image! Taller images work the best, but since I’m about to create the image for this post, I will make an extra one. Something that I can save for later (in about 2 weeks) that I can repin to my followers and boards. This brings in something new to your followers and it gives you more of a chance to drive traffic to that article you just wrote.
Create one Pinterest image for your post now, and one for later. It brings more options to your followers.Click To TweetIt’s one more way you can use free promotion to your benefit on Pinterest.
Promote Your Pin
Whatever you do, don’t skim this part. You may think that since you’re a solopreneur you don’t have time or money to waste on promoted pins.
I was like that too, but since Pinterest has released promoted pins to the U.S. I have found a pretty good way to spend a tiny bit of money with a great reward. Read the post I did over on Weal Media to see the inside tips!
Once you figure out your magic day that your followers are watching you, and you’ve found your perfect income to spend, then use that to your advantage every week just like it says in the article.
You will be able to get more eyeballs on your pins and more traffic to your site in the future. Spending a grand total of $22.21, this is what the last 30 days looked like for me. Remember the strategy isn’t conversions and traffic right away, but getting more repins to people’s boards so you can expect the traffic in the future.
Use Your Email List
How will people know you’re on Pinterest unless you tell them? Communication is key to any great social campaign.
Utilizing every facet that you have at your disposal is just good effort on your part. The email list should be no different.
Use your email list to build your notification list to drive more targeted traffic with sent pins.Click To TweetThese people should already be following you on every social media network anyway, because of the intimacy that the email list brings. Ask your subscribers if they would like to keep up with what your blog is doing on Pinterest.
You will get some people’s interests and will want to get notified, much like a Google notification circle, when a pin comes out. One of the things that I have been testing on Pinterest is the “Send Pins To Friends” feature.
When you get the confirmation from people in your email list (or anywhere else for that matter) that want to receive these messages, click the “Send” button on the pin:
This is a great way to build a targeted pin campaign without having to spend money on advertising as well. Grow your Pinterest marketing strategy with this tip, although it takes some time, you will start to see people gravitating toward your pinning.
