Google Hangouts, there’s nothing like them. Especially when you can make a little extra money while you’re doing them.
Perhaps you’re a hangout host or someone that has watched HOA’s a lot and may be thinking about getting into the arena and starting your own show.
That’s awesome!
Wouldn’t it be nice to get paid for sharing great information to your viewers?
Sure it would. I’m going to show you how.
Make Money With Google Hangouts
When I first started on Google Hangouts it was December 5th of 2013 and I had no idea what I was doing. However, I did know that it would be awesome if I could get a show sponsor. That first show was sponsored by a single individual by the name of Henri Deschamps a small business owner that still has a bed & breakfast over in North Carolina called The Mast Farm Inn.
The encouragement that Henri gave me was unmentionable. I still can’t explain how powerful I felt that day. Was this how simple it was to make money with Google Hangouts?
Someone believed in me enough to pay me to mention their business live.
From that day on I never looked back.
I also constructed a well used system of grabbing the subscriber’s attention through the use of cold calling strategies, developing templates and presentations showing the potential sponsor why they should come on board with me as a sponsor. You can sign up for the course to get these templates for yourself!
Step One: Focus on G+
One of the things that you have to remember is that you’re on the Google platform. There are all kinds of positive things that you can do with this single idea to grab sponsors.
Everyone has heard of the Google search engine, that’s one idea. The fact that you’re on Google Plus makes it even more targeted. If a business has started a Google+ page then that’s even better. Because then they have probably heard of hangouts therefore making your job a lot easier.
My tip for getting a hangout sponsor is to search for businesses and brands that have set up a Google+ page on the platform. That’s not all.
Simply having a Google Plus page won’t help you. These people have to be active on this platform. Having a brand page on G+ just for SEO purposes and not really posting isn’t going to help you.
Step Two: Determine
Make sure the brand you’re about to approach is active on the platform with plenty of posts and engagement. The more the better. Because that’s going to help you make money with hangouts on the back end. Now, it’s totally possible to grab a sponsor that isn’t on the Google Plus platform, I’m not saying that, I’m merely suggesting that you target these businesses first because they at least understand what’s going on when you approach.
Step Three: Circle & Monitor
Yes, this does take a while, however, you want to get them used to seeing you in their notifications. You will want to pick someone that is relevant to what you’re going to be talking about in your hangout and circle them. Then make sure you’re engaging these people. It’s a whole lot easier to talk to someone about sponsoring your hangout after they’ve seen your face in their comment section and in your resharing of their content after a while.
Step Four: Approach
If you have the correct approach and wording, and I can help you with that in this class, the approach will be easy. Now they remember who you are because of at least a month of engagement that you’ve been giving them, so they will read what you have to say.
I have found it more successful to approach by using a private message on Google Plus. They remember seeing you in the notifications so it only makes sense that the approach comes from the notification bell as well.
The Final Thought
I have been blessed to be able to have a hangout sponsor from day one of my Relationship Marketing show. I have found the correct formula for getting these people to pay me to mention their brand live on hangouts, and I want to help you do it as well.
The class that I’ll be conducting has been recorded so you can come back to the strategies over and over.
Try the tips above to see how you fare with the future sponsor of your show. This is one of the tips that has really helped me secure sponsorships. It’s all about the engagement and making people remember who you are.
